confluence

The confluence of the San Gabriel River and the San Jose Creek is one of the best spots along the San Gabriel River Bikeway. Unfortunately, that's the part that has been closed and will be until at least Jan. 21, 2012. I had to walk my bike in the sand, park it, then venture down the bank to capture this image. I used my Droid phone.
It's a little oasis in the middle of urban sprawl.
